A long awaited update...

It's been quite a while since I last posted, but it was for good reason. You see, I forgot my password and username for my blogger account. How silly?!

A lot has happened since Caleb's first birthday. He has been busy growing and entering toddlerhood with force. He started walking at 15 months. He is thriving at daycare! He loves his sitter and I love leaving him there, although I would like to be at home with him. However, financially it's just not a possibility.

In April we went to Saskatoon for a neurologist appointment for Caleb. While we didn't get a definitive diagnosis regarding Caleb's seizures, we were told he most likely has epilepsy. At this point we do not have to give him medication, but if he has another seizure we will have to. Praise the Lord he has been seizure free since Christmas!

Most recently, Caleb started wearing glasses. It's only been 5.5 days and he's doing really well keeping them on. We first noticed that Caleb's left eye was turning in around the time he was 10 months old. I waited and waited for a referral to the eye specialist but never got one. In
May, while at my eye appointment, I mentioned to my optometrist about Caleb's eye. He told me to just make an appointment for Caleb with him. We got in much quicker and now we're on the road to, hopefully, correcting Caleb's vision. He's quite farsighted and is slowly realizing that with his glasses on he can see better! We go back to the optometrist in 3 months to see if Caleb has made any progress.
