Dear Caleb,
Today you are 1! We made it through the sleepless nights (and there were many because somebody didn't know when daytime or nighttime was), and now you're sleeping through the night. You are a bundle of energy, making me laugh constantly throughout the day. Right from the start, you knew what you wanted and weren't (and still aren't) afraid to let your daddy or I know.
You have taught me how to love in a way I didn't know existed. My love for you runs so deep! I know understand the saying "there's nothing like a mother's love". You bring so much joy and happiness to our family. I love your little smile and how your eyes dance when you smile.
We have seen you grow from this helpless babe to an (almost) independent toddler. I get so excited for you when you learn how to do something new! I love how proud you get of yourself when you finally master something. The day you learned how to crawl, I don't think I've ever seen you smile so big! The world just got bigger to you. You are now working on the next big milestone...walking. I can't wait to see you take your first steps all by yourself.
I'm looking forward to seeing what this next year will bring, the things you'll accomplish and what you will teach us.
