Wow! It's an update!

This blog o'mine is just not getting the attention is wants lately. It could be that I've been a bit preoccupied with a busy little guy, facebook and life. I'm not going to apologize for the lack of posts, as this blog isn't the most important thing in my life. A lot has happened since I last posted. Since my last post Caleb successfully started sitting for long periods of time (where I don't have to have pillows surrounding him as he figured out how to keep his balance). He has been eating like crazy. This boy loves his food! He also loves trying to feed himself now, which is making meal times fun! While we were in Ontario visiting my family, Caleb discovered how to get up on all fours. It's really quite cute watching him rock back and forth and seeing the determination on his face. It's like he's saying "ok, I've got this figured out, now why can't I move!"

We travelled to Winnipeg for the Labour Day weekend to visit Mike's family. Caleb did really well in the car until the last hour when very loudly proclaimed his displeasure about being in the car. We had a great time there. It's always great to see family. We went the Winnipeg zoo the day before we came back and that's when Caleb had a seizure. It was a pretty scary situation. One that I hope to NEVER repeat. Praise the Lord, he hasn't had another one. But it's been nothing but doctors appointments and tests for the little guy. He's such a trooper and seems to be taking it all in stride.

The beginning of October, we flew to Ontario. Caleb did really well on the plane. He was charming the flight attendants and they were quite taken by him. We were there for my youngest sister's wedding and to visit family. None of them had met Caleb yet. Kim & Bruce's wedding day was very beautiful. We couldn't have asked for better weather. AND the leaves in the fall are gorgeous! It's been a long time since I last saw an Ontario autumn. We had such a great time visiting my sisters and mom. I also spent some quality time with my grandma. It was neat to see her and Caleb interact. Caleb was quite taken with his great grandma and vice versa. My mom was thrilled to finally meet Caleb. Poor Caleb had a camera always pointed at him.

We are now home and it's really nice to get back into our routine. I will post some pictures in another post...I may do that today or not. But they are coming.
